Antoinette Izzo, D.H.S., M.A.
Founder, Kalīde Coaching & Consulting
I work best in the margins; in the fringe; in the unconventional; in the challenging conversations; in the taboo spaces society, culture, and family tell us we're not supposed to visit or talk about. I live for asking tough questions. Reveal the real. That's where results begin.
My life’s work has been about digging deep, connecting dots, and helping people and systems grow. That includes leading teams through high-stakes missions, building businesses from scratch, and coaching clients through major life and leadership transitions.

Unparalleled Leadership Experience
I am a retired U.S. Marine with 25 years of leadership experience at every level–tactical, operational, and strategic. I draw heavily on these decades of experience in both literal and figurative trenches of mission accomplishment and leadership development in my work as a consultant and coach. Shifting Marine Corps truisms like "adapt and overcome" to "pivot with purpose" encourages me to continue meeting life with edge and stamina, while honoring the value of flow and mindful awareness in the pursuit of goals.

Business Experience
I’ve built and operated several companies as a successful solopreneur since 2006. I’ve worn every hat—marketing, client acquisition, service delivery, admin, and strategy—and I know firsthand what it takes to build something from the ground up with limited resources and a lot of grit. I also bootstrapped my way through two decades in real estate and property management, drawing on sweat equity and strategic foresight to create a thriving rental property portfolio.

Bonafide Expertise
My curiosity and analytical mind run deep. I have academically researched and professionally specialized in an array of topics related to human behavior—sexuality and culture, language and communication, human bonding, organizational culture, embodiment of conflict, ritual, and emotional intelligence and identity. I have worked in the areas of crisis response, trauma treatment, and disability. My life and professional philosophies draw heavily on the work of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), linguistics, identity theory, social and emotional intelligence, organizational leadership, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (Master Practitioner).
My formal education includes a Doctorate in Human Sexuality (D.H.S.), Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Human Behavior, Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Cultural Anthropology, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English. (Ph.D. in Sociology, ABD.)
The Real Real
Above all, I am a devoted mom who is inspired by and eternally grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside the small human I am honored to call my son. In many ways, the journey of parenthood has taught me more about myself, and more about life, than all of my academic and professional pursuits combined.
